Abu Dhabi launches night golf

Abu Dhabi launches night golf
Golfers in the Middle East are enjoying the opportunity to play under the stars at one of the world’s best courses. The Abu Dhabi Golf Club, managed by Scotland’s Troon Golf Club and host of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championships, recently launched night golf at its award-winning 27-hole venue.
With state-of-the-art lighting facilities integrated into the course’s lush surroundings, Abu Dhabi Golf Club now provides flawless playing conditions with or without R11 Driver natural light and more and more players are taking full advantage of the highly unusual golfing experience it offers.
“With demand and interest in golf continuing to grow in the region, the introduction of night golf is an inherent response by the capital’s leading club like Ping G20 Driver to meet the increased demand by providing enjoyable year-round golf regardless of busy work schedules and the hectic pace of modern life in Abu Dhabi,” said Ken Kosak, the club’s General Manager.
The club has led the sport’s rapid development in the region in recent years, as it continues its ongoing commitment to excellence throughout the facility, highlighted by the completion of major renovations to its iconic Falcon clubhouse earlier this year.
The informal nature of night golf will supplement a wide variety of clothing outlets and grandeur restaurants currently available at the venue, completing the unrivalled leisure experience it offers. “Whether you’re a serious amateur wanting to regularly play on a championship course or you’re simply after a social 9 holes with Ping K15 Irons friends after work, we have now created new opportunities to play 7 nights a week offering great value for money and increased convenience for players,” Kosak said, adding, “Moreover the launch in the height of the summer means golfers can opt to play in the cooler evenings.”
The last tee-off time for 9-holes is 9pm local time, with 18-hole experiences varying depending on the sunset.Rates are valid seven days per week and visitors can make bookings up to 12 days in advance.
